Led Zeppelin in barnes

Guitar Maestro Jimmy Page. Besides the heavy hitters, Zeppelin was influenced by folk and medieval music. Try Led Zeppelin III…

Here's a rare picture of the great Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin's mastermind, main songwriter and guitarist, laying down an acoustic track for the song La - La for the 1969 Led Zeppelin II recording sessions at Olympic Studios, Barnes.

The song didn't make the album, but was later released in a reissue edition.

Zeppelin would use various recording studios and on many occasions it would record whilst on the road touring, however a great deal of their material from the first 6 albums was recorded at Olympic Studios. Page most likely was following in the footsteps of the Rolling Stones and the Jimy Hendrix Experience, the latter recording their 3 albums in the studios.

Later on many great Hard Rock & Prog bands followed suit including Deep Purple (Fireball), Jethro Tull, Hawkwind among others.
