It was just over 60 years ago that the Beatles travelled down to London to audition, first with Decca who famously turned them down and then with EMI, who signed the Fab Four. Beatlemania was the beginning of a musical revolution which first took over Britain and then was exported globally as the British Invasion. The Beatles opened the door to countless British bands that, having grown up with American Rock'n'roll and the Blues, were now in high demand in the US and other countries. It is not surprising that a young Jimi Hendrix came to London to launch his brief but stellar musical carrier, fusing the Blues, Psychedelia, Rock’n’Roll, topped by his flamboyant guitar histrionics, inspired by artists of the caliber of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.

I created London Louder for all the lovers of the music that, like me, grew up in the golden age of Rock. I fondly remember my tender years surrounded by the sounds of Pink Floyd and the Beatles, and once I started playing guitar, my love for the vintage sounds of the '70 led me to ransack my father’s vinyl collection and discover the likes of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton & Cream, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Yes, King Crimson, Black Sabbath and the list goes on.

With London Louder I hope to share places where famous albums were made, bands were formed or broke up, album covers were created, gigs played, rockstar lived, died and partied. My Rock’n’roll are packed with anecdotes and plenty of social historical context.

Some of the bands I cover: Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Cream, Led Zeppelin, Yardbirds, David Bowie, Marc Bolan and T-Rex, Queen, Bob Marley, Iron Maiden. I am happy to prepare bespoke tours of your artist of choice with enough notice.

Rock On!
