Described as a cathedral to nature, this beautiful Neo-Romanesque Victorian building houses the first dinosaurs discoveries, as well as the spectacular Sophie the Stegosaur and a full size animatronics T-Rex. It also holds many of the marine reptiles found by the pioneering fossil hunter Mary Anning and animals and plants specimen collected by Charles Darwin during his famed voyage of the Beagle. The museum’s founder Richard Owen coined the term Dinosaur.
